Orchard History
Our orchard was planted by a University of
Minnesota-St. Cloud horticulture professor.
We have been told that he didn't think he could
grow apples in St. Cloud so he came to
Southwest Minnesota to a slightly warm
climate.
The Professor was 72 years old when he started
this orchard project. In 2002, the professor
passed away and left very little information
about the trees on paper.
In June 2007 we purchased the orchard and
have been working with a University of
Minnesota horticulture professor & apple
research expert to identify the apple varieties.
We are excited to learn more about our apples.
We have already learned how much people
enjoy the orchard, our apples and produce!
